BOdeBO is in hetzelfde jaar als Dochterlief geboren, in 2001. En dan begrijp ik niet dat zo’n prachtig merk na al die jaren nog steeds relatief onbekend is in Nederland. Buiten de landsgrenzen is BOdeBO al lange tijd een begrip. Het merk straalt Franse elegantie uit en wordt gekenmerkt door de hoge kwaliteit en luxe afwerking maar BOdeBO is vooral verrassend, speels en kleurrijk. Een 100% creatief en origineel merk!
BOdeBO is opgericht door Ann Ramirez toen ze zelf moeder werd. Het zal eens niet…de mooiste kinderlabels zijn opgericht door verse moeders die geen geschikte kleding voor hun eigen kindjes konden vinden! De ontwerpster heeft een geweldig gevoel van stijl en vormen, kijk eens naar de geweldige aparte vormen in de verschillende collecties. Sommige stukken doen me denken aan het typische Vivienne Westwood werk.

I’d like to confess to being a huge admirer of BOdeBO. If I was to choose one single kids brand, the epitome of what I look for in children’s clothes, it’s this French label (Bang Bang Copenhagen coming in a close second). I bet a lot of you thought they were Japanese. No wonder, their clothes do look like something Rei Kawakubo’s or Tsumori Chisato’s kids would wear, and honestly I wouldn’t mind having each of BOdeBO’s designs in adult size, either. I wouldn’t wear anything else! The construction work is amazing and so is the finish – this and the fact they are made in France sort of justifies the prices. With BOdeBO, even the polka dot pattern never gets boring. And look at those awesome, exaggerated sleeves! I just wish they had a website that didn’t require some weird plug-in

Bodebo est une marque française très créative dans le haut de gamme pour bébés et enfants !
Les collections sont super colorées avec des volumes travaillés, des imprimés délirants, le confort de belles matières et un petit côté bobo rock.
Les prix ne sont pas très accessibles (compter environ 100 euros la robe), mais pour celles qui n’ont pas un rond et qui ont l’âme de couturières, je trouve la collection de Bodebo très inspirante !
